So as an SCT what have I done....?
Strangely this has turned out to be more of the focus recently. Last year I was all about the classroom practice.... I was trialling things with my year 9s and using them to test things we did at Mindlab. I was instigating all sorts of things from Design thinking around the seating to Augmented reality for book responses... Crazy times.

Then this year there was a research focus and I realised where the lack was in my practice. I can do things in the classroom with ease. I can change and sort new things with relative ease. But when it comes to the OTHER half of my job - the Specialist Classroom Teacher half - I was slacking!
To be honest - having only been in the job for one year and still coming to grips with it - I was at the stage of having identified the pitfalls and areas for immediate change and was making basic changes but the big shift came this year when making plans for the beginning of year staff induction. It was a natural flow on from using digital technology with the students in the BYOD environment. We were digitising the students but not the staff! In 2014 we put in place a school wide Appraisal process using OneNote. EXCELLENT I thought to myself - then just (in the time honoured SAMR process) digitise the PRTs!
